Duckhorn Wine Dinner

Join us for a special evening of food and wine.  Jessica Griggs, Senior Director of National Accounts, will be joining us to provide unique insights on Duckhorn Vineyards.  We will pair 5 Courses of Chef's exquisite creations matched perfectly with the wines of Duckhorn Vineyards.  The doors will open at 6:30 with a reception featuring sparkling wine and appetizers.  The Wine Dinner will start at 7PM.

Co-founded by Dan and Margaret Duckhorn in 1976, Duckhorn Vineyards has spent forty years establishing itself as one of North America’s premier producers of Napa Valley wines. From its modest inaugural vintage of 800 cases of Cabernet Sauvignon and 800 cases of Merlot in 1978, to its addition of Sauvignon Blanc in 1982, Duckhorn Vineyards has crafted a tradition of quality and excellence that continues today.

1st Course

SASHIMI TUNA, PAPAYA , AND CRAB ROLL
2016 Duckhorn Chardonnay - Napa Valley, California
Inviting aromas of pear, lemongrass, ripe peach, jasmine and graham cracker rise from the glass, revealing this wine’s layered complexity. On the palate, a silky texture creates weight and volume, with elegant acidity framing the stone fruit and citrus flavors. The finish is long and fresh, with tantalizing hints of lemon zest, vanilla and clove.

2nd Course

SALMON WELLINGTON WITH BEURRE BLANC, SERVED WITH ASPARAGUS TIP AND PAN FRIED CAPERS
2016 Migration Pinot Noir - Russian River Valley, California
The excellent 2016 growing season yielded a dark and alluring Pinot Noir from the famed Dutton Ranch. Mesmerizing aromas of blackberry and black cherry fill the glass, followed by perfumed floral notes and hints of cinnamon and clove. On the palate, this wine is broad and flowing, with generous fruit and a lingering vanilla and spice finish.

3rd Course

OVEN ROASTED STUFFED VEAL LOIN WITH SWEET POTATO HASH WITH LIGHT VEAL SAUCE
2014 Duckhorn Merlot - Napa Valley, California
Combining lovely Structure and alluring appeal, this is a classic expression of Duckhorn Vineyards’ Merlot. Intense aromas of ripe cherry, plum, and black fig rise form the glass, underscored by hints of leather and cedar. On the palate, it is lush and supple, with bright acidity and velvety tannins supporting layers of raspberry and black cherry, as well as hints of coffee and chocolate that carry through on the long finish.

4th Course

BRAISED BEEF CHEEKS, SERVED WITH CIABATTA TOAST AND PARSLEY AND ANCHOVY SALAD
2015 Duckhorn Cabernet Sauvignon - Napa Valley, California
Beginning with a gorgeous nose of boysenberry, cherry, strawberry, cedar, sage, and licorice, this lush and lively Cabernet captures the rich diversity of Napa Valley. On the palate, the alluring fruit flavors are underscored by bright acidity, firm polished tannins, and notes of fig, licorice, and cinnamon that linger on the well-structured finish.

Dessert

STRAWBERRY SHORTCAKE
2012 Duckhorn Late Harvest Sauvignon Blanc - Napa Valley, California
Alluring aromas of lychee, pineapple cake and nectarine leap from the glass, along with zesty notes of grapefruit and lime. On the palate, this beautifully structured wine strikes a seamless balance between its rich, silky texture and the crisp acidity that adds poise and freshness to the abundant layers of bright citrus fruit.
