In 1981, Justin Baldwin purchased 160 acres is Paso Robles with the aim of making wines emulating the "left bank" of Bordeaux. By 1987, he released his first vintage - a blend of Cabernet Sauvignon, Cabernet Franc and Merlot, later renamed Isosceles. Ten years later, Wine Spectator ranks ISOSCELES, the 6th best wine in the World. Today, Justin continues the tradition of wine making, producing many award winning wines rivaling the best of Bordeaux.

1st Course

CRAB CREPE WITH LOBSTER BEURRE BLANC
2016 Sauvignon Blanc – Central Coast, California
Dry, refreshing throughout, with lemon, green apple, peach and tropical fruit on the entry leading to a crisp, textured mid-palate showing chamomile flower, subtle green herbs and mineral notes. The finish is clean, bright and textured with lingering citrus and herbal character.

2nd Course

QUAIL WITH SAVORY BREAD PUDDING AND ROASTED GARLIC BEURRE NOIR
2014 Landmark Overlook Pinot Noir – Sonoma County, California
On the nose, the wine is rich with molasses, cherry, spearmint, black tea, cranberry and plum. The palate features notes of gingerbread spice, red raspberry and grilled mushroom with a lengthy finish of mocha, black tea and forest floor.

3rd Course

ELK TAGLIATA WITH ARUGULA SALAD
2014 Isosceles – Paso Robles, California
Dry, full bodied and very complex with rich ripe black fruit and baking spice on the entry, with anise, purple flowers and chocolate on the mid–palate, joined by emerging chewy tannins into the fresh, balanced finish which is very long with sustained fruit and layers of evolving sweet spice.

4th Course

BRAISED PORK TENDERLOIN WITH PLUM RAGU AND PICKLED BEETS
2014 Justification- Paso Robles, California
Smooth-textured, graceful and refined, with a tenderness to the texture and tannins. Features a warm, inviting mix of red and dark berry flavors and subtle shades of licorice, light mocha and savory herbs.

HOUSE MADE PECAN PIE
2012 Obtuse – Paso Robles, California
Full-bodied, sweet but fresh on the palate with ripe black fruit on the entry and dark chocolate with sweet tobacco elements on the mid-palate. Soft tannins support the flavors on the long, crisp finish that is filled with continuing fruit and savory notes.
