Bob Foley - Iconic Napa Winemaker
Balaban’s is delighted to announce that iconic Napa Valley winemaker, Bob Foley, will personally be hosting the Robert Foley Wine Dinner at Balaban’s on Sunday, June 24th at 6:30 PM.
Robert (Bob) Foley began his wine making career in Napa Valley in 1977, working at a number of highly regarded wineries including Pride Mountain Vineyards, where he spent 15 years as founding winemaker. During this period he also created the highly acclaimed Switchback Ridge, Hourglass, Paloma, School House and Engel Family wines. He now focuses on Robert Foley Vineyards.
In 1998 Robert Foley Vineyards bottled its flagship Claret and has since expanded and diversified its portfolio to offer more of the big reds that Bob is famous for.
Bob’s reputation for producing very expressive wines that finish gracefully continues to develop at his winery facility on Napa’s Howell Mountain where more than 1500 barrels of wine are produced.
Bob has a staff of four who work tirelessly at handcrafting the wines, running the office and operating the tasting room.
When Bob’s not making exceptional wine, he spends time with his wife and business manager Kelly Kehoe, his two children, and his two granddaughters. You can also find Bob jamming with the Robert Foley Band when he’s not in the cellar or SCUBA diving.
